In the colors of the day

In its extreme south, the rocky plateau of the Tassili n’Ajjer breaks up into isolated sandstone reliefs: a concentration of rocky sculptures and cathedrals, set in the sumptuous red and yellow dunes of the ergs of Tin Merzouga, Mulinaga, In Zawaten, In Tehak.

This short but intense expedition trip starts from the historic oasis of Djanet and will take us to visit these marvellous landscapes, alternating natural beauty with places linked to Saharan prehistory, of which the Iharen-style figures of Tin Ressou, the giraffe and elephants of the Wadi In Djeran, and the incredible weeping cows graffitied in Terarart, are just examples. The fantasies of the natural colours that change before our eyes every day reach their maximum in the Tin Merzuga region and in the dunes of the Erg d’Admer. We will travel in all-terrain vehicles without giving up exciting daily walks in the dunes and among the sandstone stacks.
