The Argentinian Puna is a region we know well and that seduces us. So we double our classic trip "Wild Puna", with a new itinerary conceived for the argentinian summer, when some wonderful areas, not easily accessible in winter, are available, notably the Volcano Peinado, one of the most beautiful in the world, where we'll feel the invaluable thrill to sleep beyond 9.840 ft (3000 mt) on the see level.
In two weeks we are going to cover all the musts of the region: the "Campo Pedra Pomiz" Andean desert, miles and miles of pumice rocks higher than a four storeys buiding, the Salar de Arizaro, between the biggest salty flats in the world, the legendary Cono de Arita, a pyramid of black rock standing out from the white salar, just before rising at the slopes of El Peinado, that hosts inside its huge caldera the astonishing Laguna Diamante, and then nearby Tolar Grande to discover the fossil dunes of the Labirinto Desert. Nature of course, but also Inca heritage and Gaucho gastronomy.
