The Argentinian Puna is a region we know well and that seduces us. So we double our classic trip "Wild Puna", with a new itinerary conceived for the argentinian summer, when some wonderful areas, not easily accessible in winter, are available, notably the Volcano Peinado, one of the most beautiful in the world, where we'll feel the invaluable thrill to sleep beyond 9.840 ft (3000 mt) on the see level.
In two weeks we are going to cover all the musts of the region: the "Campo Pedra Pomiz" Andean desert, miles and miles of pumice rocks higher than a four storeys buiding, the Salar de Arizaro, between the biggest salty flats in the world, the legendary Cono de Arita, a pyramid of black rock standing out from the white salar. Not to be missed the Galan Volcano with the two lagoons, the Diamante and the Grande, the latter hosting the biggest flamingo colony of the Andes, just before rising at the slopes of El Peinado, one of the most beautiful volcanos in the world, that hosts inside the huge caldera an astonishing blue lagoon, and then again we will go nearby Tolar Grande to discover the fossil dunes of the Labirinto Desert. Nature of course, but also Inca heritage and Gaucho gastronomy in a unique itinerary planned with a saharan logistics outside the ordinary touristic routes.
