Right in front of the Pala group in the Dolomites, the eastern summits of the Lagorai mountain range stand out, a vast mountain chain formed by volcanic rock (mostly porphyry, with the inclusion of granite in the Cima d'Asta range), where wild regions can be found, of great attractiveness to wilderness lovers.
A classic crossing on trails, mule tracks and pre-WWI roads in the Lagorai mountain range, across the ridge that winds east-west from Rolle Pass to lakes Levico and Caldonazzo, forming the natural divide between the Fiemme and Sugana valleys. Hiking in a mountainous zone that lends itself to long ridge crossings with limited elevation change and expansive panoramic views over the range summits; one of the last remaining Italian alpine zones that is still complete and wild. A pleasure, a surprise, an experience worthy of importance. For time that stands still, in the fields as at home. For the unaltered, ancient relationship between man and prominent nature, from the rhythm of the sun, to the seasons, to the growth of vegetation.
